Major Responsibilities:
• Pastor the campus congregation
• Lead, supervise, disciple, equip, serve and shepherd the campus staff
• Partner with the lead pastors in casting and implementing the Citylight Vision at the campus
How will these responsibilities be accomplished?
• Have a vibrant relationship with Jesus. Have a knowledge of God’s Word that is thorough, fresh and personal.
• Support a shared vision and continuity across campuses
• Prepare and teach messages as requested (8-12 times per year)
• Plan and lead weekly staff meetings
• Manage the west staff team in a way that grows and develops their skills and ministries
• Ensure the west staff team feels seen, known, and cared for
• Cultivate a strong, fun and caring culture in the office
• Oversee and facilitate the planning of weekly worship services
• Coordinate and participate in conducting weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other life events
• Live in the community and treat it as a mission field
• Ensure effective communication across campus staff, the congregation and elders
• Ensure great stewardship of the campus facility and budget
• Serve on the executive team (Lead team) to help make directional and shepherding decisions in the church.
• Serve as an advisor on the elder board
• Own the Sunday morning gathering, communication, and culture
• Serve as Community Liaison between the campus and its neighbors
• Advocate for the campus and staff

• West congregants feel known, prayed for, pastored, and cared for
• There are clear pathways for visitors: visit, connect, belong, and multiply
• Sundays at west are consistently excellent: gospel-centered preaching, warm hospitality, strong music, smooth operations, and follow-up for connection opportunities
• Midweek rhythms (groups, classes and teams) are well-led and aligned with the broader Citylight discipleship strategy
• Staff and key leaders at west are clear on roles, energized, aligned and collaborating well
• The staff culture at west is healthy and vibrant
• Volunteers are recruited, trained, encouraged and retained
• Teaching, communication, and ministry priorities at west are synced with the co-lead pastors and the church-wide plan
• People are coming to faith, getting baptized, joining community, and stepping into mission
• The west campus is a multiplying campus – leaders, groups and teams are continually being developed.
