Job Description
This role is centered on leading, executing, and developing Doxa Youth, our Wednesday night middle and high school ministry.
The Doxa Youth Director will be responsible for:
- Leading and shaping Wednesday nights, including a majority of the preaching
- Recruiting and supporting Youth volunteer leaders
- Discipling students
- Developing the future of Doxa Youth, alongside their direct report
Rhythms
- Attend weekly staff meeting (Mondays, 2:30-4:00p)
- Attend weekly Staff Hour (Thursdays, 3:00-4:00p)
- Setup and lead Wednesday nights (5-8:30)
- Serve Sunday mornings (7am-12:30pm)
- Meeting with students over lunch and attending students’ events and activities
Other Notes
- Doxa Youth is in a developing phase - moving from an intentional Bible study with a short teaching toward a worship and teaching gathering. This will need leadership to develop.
- Doxa Youth currently has a weekend summer camp in July
- This role is developmental for preaching, and the Youth Director will be involved in Teaching Labs to continue to develop as a communicator
