WORSHIP MINISTRY RESIDENT CANDIDATE
We are looking for a developing worship leader who is interested in vocational worship leadership. The Candidate is someone who is passionate about developing both “leadership character and competencies” and “musical skills” in volunteers. You are not intimidated by leading worship in large environments and working with lots of different team members, but are energized by seeing team members thrive as they grow into new levels of leadership and new skills. In general, you geek out about music, development, and gear.
CURRENT WORSHIP MINISTRY
The ministry has a healthy and gifted set of volunteers as well as a Worship Ministry Lead and talented lay leaders. This residency role will add capacity, creativity, and further strengthen the worship team and worship culture at Keystone at large. The possibilities are endless with the worship ministry at Keystone. Two of the senior leaders at Keystone come from worship backgrounds. We will be moving into a new 1,000- seat auditorium with cutting edge audio, visual, and lighting. In essence, the senior leadership values and wants to empower fresh new leadership.
Keystone Church of Ankeny is a dynamically growing church in the fast-growing City of Ankeny, Iowa (A northern Suburb of Des Moines). We are a 5-year-old church averaging over 1,000 on Sunday morning. We are elder led, preach through books of the Bible, gather in small groups, and take our mission to help people know and follow Jesus very seriously.
A leading edge of our church is reaching the next generation and church planting. We belong to a family of churches called the Salt Network who intentionally reach college students, and then plant churches in cities with major universities. Through this partnership, we have church planting residencies, and have raised and sent out 2 church plants in the last 3 years.
We are in a unique season as a church. Responding to the growth God has brought, we are currently building and preparing to move into a new facility in 2023.
