JOB TITLE: HILL CITY KIDS DIRECTOR
DIRECT SUPERVISOR: SENIOR DIRECTOR OF FAMILIES AND GROUPS
JOB OVERVIEW: Support Hill City Church objectives through the embodiment of our mission statement: Together we love God, love others and make disciples of Jesus Christ. In this role, you will focus on the vision and mission of HCKids as they partner with parents to make disciples of their children.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
SUNDAY MORNING:
- Serve Sundays as HCKids Staff Coordinator
- As staff coordinator, lead teachers in pre-meeting, manage classrooms, welcome new families, ensure policies are followed, and coach teachers on best practices.
- Ensure excellence in all facilities HCKids uses on Sunday mornings in cleanliness and preparation.
LEAD:
- Oversee vision casting and implementation of the HCKIDS vision statement across all areas of the ministry
- Drive culture of caring for volunteers and families within HCKids
- Checkin’s with volunteers
- Lead teacher training and other training events
- Oversee implementation of curriculum
- Oversee Elementary Ministry/Worship/Large Group Teaching (Kindergarten - 5th grade)
- Oversee Early Childhood Ministry (Birth - PreK)
- Oversight of HCKids Ministries Budget, Calendar and Ministry Planning
- Oversight and problem solving HCKids structures and processes
- HCKids Teacher recruitment vision and implementation
- HCKids Teacher onboarding and training
- HCKids Family Discipleship events, one in the fall and one in the spring
- Oversight of safety protocols in HCKids
PARTNER:
- Collaborate with Family Ministries team on the Family Discipleship framework and partnering with parents
- Collaborate with Family Ministries team for vision and core strategies for HCKIds
- Collaborate with Family ministries team for cohesive vision for birth to 12th grade
- Partner with Family Ministries for Hill City at Home
GROW:
- HCKids systems and process excellence
- Identify and train up HCKids ministry leadership team
- Special needs ministry team and structure
- NextUp! Ministry to 4th and 5th graders
STAFF:
- Participate in weekly team meetings, 1-on-1’s and director meetings
- Participate in monthly employee huddle and lunch’s
- Creation of and semi-annual evaluation of 6-month role plans
- Training, organizational development, and processes required of all staff
- Complete your personalized development plan
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or experience equivalent - please specify the type of education or experience needed and length of time having served in a similar position based on what the role would require
- Track record in serving through the local church - if there are specific areas of expertise
- Organized, self-driver who is able to take general direction and produce results
- Become a covenant member / remain in good standing as a covenant member of Hill City Church
- Effective communicator
- Experience leading a team
- Physically capable to participate in most activities in which children and families participate
