Major Responsibilities:
- Create a vibrant and welcoming gathering for middle and high school students that is centered around worship and gospel-centered preaching and community
- Develop a volunteer leadership team that helps the youth ministry grow in the Salt Church core values
- Maintain a calendar that involves events like a Fall Kickoff, Fall and Spring Retreats, a Gospel leadership application process for volunteers, summer mission trips, teaching calendar, etc.
- Develop a partnership with parents to communicate youth ministry happenings and equip them with resources to equip their kids
- Build connections in the community and with schools to promote an evangelistic culture among students for their peers.
- Pray for students, parents, and volunteers. Model vibrant prayer life and communion with Jesus.
How will these responsibilities be accomplished?
- Communicate vision, mission, rhythms, Salt Church core values, and opportunities for future church plants to staff and students and parents (written, media, verbal)
- Create and maintain a pipeline for students to grow in their own discipleship and serve in the local church
- Maintain presence on middle and high school campuses. Attend events students are involved in outside of youth group when possible (sporting events, school plays, graduations, etc.)
- Recruit and develop student leaders to have roles during a youth gathering such as welcome team, worship team, set up/tear down, preaching, call to worship, leading from the middle, etc.
- Organize and equip volunteer leaders to lead breakout groups or DGroups
- Facilitate and provide opportunities for youth gathering, groups, retreats, and missions trips.
- Stay connected with Salt Company and help transition graduating seniors into Salt Companies around the country.
- Attend all staff meetings.

- Students coming to know Christ, getting baptized, and then graduating and jumping into Salt Company.
- Not just a youth group for the pastors' kids, but a youth group reaching the lost students.
- Growing youth gathering where people feel connected and not forgotten.
- Students that are highly invested in the local church.
- Parents who feel cared for and are actively discipling their kids
- We take more students to retreats and missions trips every year
- A ministry that students brag about and belong to rather than attend and apologize for
Education/Experience Preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2 years of experience preferred
